الدرس الرابع: التقدم لوظيفة (Applying for a Job)

في هذا الدرس، سنتعلم كيفية قراءة وفهم إعلانات الوظائف (Job Adverts)، خاصة تلك التي تحتوي على اختصارات (Abbreviations) لتوفير المساحة. كما سنتدرب على المهارات اللغوية اللازمة لإجراء مكالمة هاتفية رسمية للاستفسار عن وظيفة. أخيراً، سنتعلم استخدام should / shouldn't للتعبير عن التوقع (Expectation).

المفردات (Vocabulary): الاختصارات الشائعة في الإعلانات (مثل yrs, exp, appt)، ومصطلحات وظيفية مثل computer literate (ملم باستخدام الحاسوب).

القواعد (Grammar): استخدام should / shouldn't للتعبير عن التوقع (ما نعتقد أنه سيحدث بناءً على المعطيات).

في كتاب الطالب (صفحة 23)، يوجد إعلان لشركة SAFETASK SECURITY. إليك تحليل للإعلان مع فك الاختصارات:

في هذا الدرس، يستمع الطالب لمحادثة هاتفية بين Samir Fakroun (متقدم للوظيفة) و Mr Aboud (صاحب العمل). إليك أهم النقاط:

Samir: "Could I speak to Mr Aboud? ... I'm calling about your advert."
Mr Aboud: "We need someone who is very reliable... Work starts at 6 a.m. ... You may need to work some weekends, but not at night."
Mr Aboud: "Our security guards also need to be very fit... you'll have to walk around the building every hour... You'll have to watch television screens."
Samir: "Will I have to arrest people?"
Mr Aboud: "No! If you see anything unusual, you'll call the police."
Mr Aboud: "You need to be computer literate... to write reports at the end of every day."
Mr Aboud: "I'll send you the directions by email. They're very clear. You shouldn't have any trouble finding us."

نستخدم should و shouldn't لنقول ما نتوقع حدوثه.

• He has studied hard. He should pass the exam. (أتوقع نجاحه).
• It's a straightforward job. You shouldn't have any difficulty doing it. (لا أتوقع أن تواجه صعوبة).
